Computer Rendered Art

Modeling + Rendering + Art Direction

exploring space, architecture, and the uncanny beauty of computer graphics

As a child growing up in the 90's, the prospect of computer generated graphics excited me. Being able to freely explore virtual worlds was something I dreamed about regularly, and the rising popularity of computer generated art and animation was something that fueled my imagination. Yet, as the technology evolved to the point of near photo realism I find myself still fascinated by computer graphics not as they are today but how they once were, and what that means to us now. Those early experiments in CG aren't merely obsolete, but an important thread in the aesthetic fabric of the time. That is what my work attempts to explore, the space somewhere between the starry eyed futurism of computer graphics in the past and how they connect to the present day reality of our visual culture.
